Diego Borro Wins Premio Impulso for Impact

In the framework of the REEPRODUCE project, our colleague Diego Borro from CEIT Research Center, is the winner of the Premio Impulso in the Impact category.

Electrochemical Conversion of Rare Earth Oxides to Alloys at Elkem

At Elkem, an electrolysis cell will be used to convert rare earth oxides to rare earth metals and alloys. The electrolysis cell operates as a medium-sized furnace equipped with a graphite crucible, operating at around 1100°C, and at 2000 Amperes.

Unlocking the value of end-of-life magnets: JGI-HYDROMETAL’s Advanced Hydrometallurgy

Within the REEPRODUCE project, partner JGI HYDROMETAL has developed a hydrometallurgical process capable of recovering rare earths from end-of-life permanent magnets of various compositions using advanced hydrometallurgy.

REEPRODUCE Participation at the HaDEA 2nd Showcase Event 2026

The REEPRODUCE project has been invited to participate in the HaDEA 2nd Showcase Event 2026, titled “EU-funded projects and synergies driving competitiveness and preparedness”, which will take place on 19 January 2026 in Brussels. Organised by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), the event aims to highlight how EU-funded projects contribute to Europe’s competitiveness and preparedness across key sectors, including digital, industry, space, and health.
