ABOUT REEPRODUCE

Achieving Europe’s climate-neutral objectives will fundamentally depend on our ability to develop clean energy and mobility solutions in the most sustainable way.

But this green transition will generate an exponential growth in demand for raw materials, such as Rare Earth Elements (REEs). – for the production of permanent magnets (PMs).

Policy recommendations for a rare earth permanent magnet recycling value chain in Europe

We are pleased to share our new policy paper "Policy Recommendations for a Rare Earth Permanent Magnet Recycling Value Chain in Europe", which identifies persistent barriers preventing large-scale recycling of rare earth permanent magnets in Europe. The paper sets out five policy recommendations to support the rollout of the RESourceEU Action Plan, the implementation of the Critical Raw Materials Act, and the development of the Circular Economy Act.

Crossroads of Innovation: Shared Raw Materials Challenges

On 21 November 2025, REEPRODUCE took part in “Crossroads of Innovation: Shared Challenges and Joint Solutions in Raw Materials” - a clustering side event co-organised during Raw Materials Week 2025 in Brussels by the REESOURCE project together with ten other Horizon Europe projects active across the raw materials value chain. The workshop was designed to bring together EU-funded projects, industry, and policymakers to discuss common bottlenecks, share concrete solutions, and generate input for a joint policy brief.

Key takeaways from the HaDEA 2nd Showcase Event 2026 in Brussels

The REEPRODUCE project was invited by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) to participate in its second Showcase Event that took place on 19th January 2026 in the Charlemagne Conference Centre, Brussels.
